“O! Loquat!” Literary Program at The Florida Loquat Festival
April 4, 2015
This year’s Florida Loquat Festival features a program of creative
literary works. The literary event will use an open mic format for
readings of poetry and short prose taking the loquat as subject or
central image.
All readers are welcome! Official readings begin at 1:00, and will
be limited to the first 20 readers who sign up at the festival. Please
keep readings under two minutes (about 300 words). Overflow
readings are possible, after 2:00. To sign in, contact Wendy
Buffington at the site when you arrive. With authors’ permission,
readings may be included in future publications of Loquat News.
Join us April 4, at The Market Off Main, 6214 Lincoln St., in
downtown New Port Richey for the Florida Loquat Festival (9:00
– 2:00), and this year enjoy the literary celebration of Florida’s
wonderful spring fruit. Open mic starts at 1:00 PM.
