FHP officials say a man died in a single-vehicle accident just after 8 PM near the Carlton Arms apartment complex north of Notre Dame Street.

William Bagnato, 55, was in a 2007 Chevrolet Malibu south of Rowan Road and lost control, according to a statement issued by Florida Highway Patrol. The car veered off the road and hit a metal sign and a copse of trees. Bagnato died at the scene.
