New Port Richey Police say a missing two year old in New Port Richey was found floating in a neighbor’s pool by officers after a search. The child was pulled from the pool and CPR was performed, but was pronounced dead at St. Joseph’s Children’s hospital after a medical airlift.
According to a release from police:
On March 6, 2018 at 1752 hours, officers responded to 5538 Senate Lane regarding a missing two year old male… A search was conducted by officers of the residence and surrounding areas. The child was located by officers floating in a neighboring pool. Officers jumped into the pool, removed the child and performed CPR. The child was airlifted to St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in Tampa. The family was notified on scene. The child was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The investigation is ongoing.
