People Places Hosts Third “Talk About Town” on Urban Agriculture – Monday, June 20

People Places, Inc, the selected developer for the City’s Orange Lake site, will be hosting a third “Talk About Town” on Monday, June 20th, 2016 at 5:30 PM. The People Places office is located at 5742 Main Street in New Port Richey.

Dell deChant, chair of the City of New Port Richey’s Environmental Committee, will give a 30 minute talk on urban agriculture and how it relates to urban design. Frank Starkey, owner of People Places, will follow with a brief discussion on the urban design perspective. The next night, Tuesday June 21, at 7:00 PM, the City Council of New Port Richey will consider an Urban Agriculture ordinance for the city.  Persons interested in urban agriculture are encouraged to attend both events.
Persons interested in urban agriculture may also want to mark their calendars for the very next night (June 21 at 7:00 PM), when the City Council of New Port Richey will consider an urban agriculture ordinance expanding opportunities for property owners to grow and market produce in the city.  The council meets at City Hall, 5919 Main Street, New Port Richey.  

These talks were designed to be informative, casual, and conversational with a welcoming approach to new ideas. The purpose of the talks is to provide the audience with a plan for active and positive involvement in the community. There will be a  Q&A at the end of the presentations.
