This week will mark the kickoff for the 70th consecutive Chasco Fiesta, starting this Friday, April 1st and wrapping up Saturday, April 9th.
The multi-day event will feature highlights including the Chasco Fiesta Street Parade, the Sertoma BBQ, the Chalk Art Festival, and the Chasco Fiesta Boat Parade.
The Chasco Fiesta Street Parade is on Saturday, April 2nd at 1:00 PM. The parade will feature a performance by the Parris Island Marine Band, who will also perform in a separate performance in Sims Park.
Below is a map of the parade route. City residents should note that the streets on this route will be closed for a portion of that day. Street closures will also be common in the downtown area, especially around Sims Park and Railroad Square during the festivities. Specifically, portions of Circle Boulevard around Orange Lake may be closed for the “carnival” areas.
