There will be a Ground Breaking Ceremony for the Sims Park Improvement Project on Saturday, March 14th at 11:00 a.m. The ceremony will take place in Sims Park located at 6431 Bank Street in New Port Richey. Hot dogs and drinks will be served following the ceremony. The Sims Park Improvement Project began with the award of a grant through the Land and Water Conservation Fund. Improvements to the park will include a new playground, splash pad, shade structures and kayak launch. When completed Sims Park, Orange Lake, Peace Hall and the West Pasco Historical Society will all be connected in one continuous green space as new traffic patterns will be constructed to allow for the improvements.
