A pedestrian appeared to have been struck on the West side of the intersection of Congress Street and Massachusetts Avenue last night at approximately 7:00 PM.

The man, laying on the north side of Congress Street, near the sidewalk, was assisted by Pasco Sheriff Deputies and Fire Rescue and was transported. No information is currently available on his identity or the extent of his injuries.

The vehicle which struck the man appeared to be a white sedan owned by Joe’s Taxi, a car service out of Holiday.

UPDATE: New Port Richey Police have confirmed that a male pedestrian was struck in the crosswalk and was transported with non-life threatening injuries.
