New Port Richey, Florida – The City of New Port Richey is proud to announce the grand re-opening of the historical Sims Park, located in downtown New Port Richey, on Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 12:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. The festivities kickoff with the Gulf High School Jazz Band followed by the ribbon cutting ceremony at 1:00 p.m. Other activities include:
- Live performance by Coastal Acoustic Barefoot Music
- Free samples from Downtown Restaurants at the “Taste of New Port Richey”
- 2015 Hess Truck & Star Wars itty bittys Giveaways
- Touch-a-Truck featuring City vehicles
- Meet the trainer at the new Fit Zone
- Class demonstrations such as Tai Chi and Yoga
- Kayak rentals by Gill Dawg
