LAND O’ LAKES, FL —- Keeping your pet’s license current just got easier thanks to Pasco County Animal Services’ (PCAS) new lifetime pet license program and online purchasing system. Existing licenses can now be replaced with a lifetime tag at your pet’s renewal date. The new tag remains with your pet for life, eliminating the need for annual replacements.
New Port Richey residents are also eligible for this pet license because of animal control agreements between the City and the County. New Port Richey pet owners are required to obtain pet licenses with the County.
Online purchasing simplifies the process, allowing pet owners to purchase a new or renew a pet license, or replacement tags without visiting the shelter or a vet clinic.
Use the online portal to:
- Create a profile for each pet
- Upload proof of rabies vaccination
- Request new pet license tags, renew expired pet license tags or order replacement tags
- Make payments for licenses
There are no changes in cost for this new and upgraded service, and PCAS will send your tag in the mail. To view the licensing fee schedule please visit: hbit.ly/31C0kJ4.
Pasco requires current licensing for all dogs and cats four months of age or older. Owners of unlicensed pets can receive fines up to $125 per unlicensed pet. Pet licensing helps ensure public safety and rabies prevention.
