The New Port Richey Recreation and Aquatic Center is announcing it’s first session of swimming lessons from June 13th-23rd, offering morning and evening classes. Registration is limited, so make sure to enroll early to guarantee placement. Registration opens Monday, May 30th and is open to all, with or without a membership. The cost is $40 for city residents and $50 for non-city residents. Those interested should contact Chris Bornfleth at (727) 841-4560.
Lessons cover beginners and babies up through a third level of swimming. A “Water Babies” course focuses on “self rescue” to help infants and very young children to cope with falling into a body of water from a young age. The course also helps with motor and sensory development, as well as being fun for both babies and parents!
