Recycling Center Moved to Port Richey

Recycling Center Moved to Port Richey

Pasco County has decided to move the recycling center located on Pine Hill Road to the Embassy Waste Water Treatment Plant. The plant is located just north of Embassy Boulevard on Crabtree Lane in Port Richey. This site is now the closest accessible recycling center for New Port Richey residents.

Another site was also opened a Anclote Gulf Park on Baillie’s Bluff Road.

Accepted Materials

The sites accept all plastics coded #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, and #7. They do not accept #6 plastics. Also accepted are:

  • Aluminum and metal cans
  • Clear, green, and brown glass bottles and jars
  • Mixed paper, newspaper, and cardboard
    • Telephone books, office paper, periodicals, and direct mail are accepted
    • Food wrappings or food containers are not accepted

The decision to close the Pine Hill Road and Tampa Bay Times building locations in January was made because of excessive improper dumping and unauthorized contamination of the sites.

Current Site List

You can view a map of the current locations, including the newly opened and recently closed sites on the County’s website.

Residents who have garbage pickup can request to have separate recycling pickup. The County has begun asking residents to use cans marked with a recycling sticker rather than bagging their recyclables in blue bags. This effort is aimed at reducing waste.
