The Downtown New Port Richey Art Gallery will host a new art exhibition entitled “Water: The Essence of Life” on Friday, October 3rd.

Join us for an open house reception to debut the Downtown New Port Richey Art Gallery’s October exhibition entitled “Water: The Essence of Life,” on Friday, October 3 from 6 to 9 p.m. On view will be artwork in all media with the theme centered around water in its life sustaining, forceful and comforting aspects: gorgeous seascapes, rambling rivers, rushing rapids, quiet lakes and ponds, violent storms and, of course, people, animals and sealife — in, on, around, and underwater. We thirst for water and it is central to our lives.

Also on display during the month will be a private exhibition from award-winning artists Joan Annicchiarico and Louise Celli, who will feature oil and watercolor paintings, and colored pencil drawings in a stunning exhibition entitled “Two Points of View”. Rounding out the month-long exhibition is a photography exhibit from the students of Saint Leo University, in Sant Leo, FL.

This is a free event and all are welcome. A special performance by the Saint Leo University A Capella Singing Group SASS will take place at 6:30 p.m. Be sure to arrive in time to enjoy lively renditions of favorite songs from this talented group!

Light refreshments will be served. The exhibition continues through November 1. The Gallery is located at 6231 Grand Blvd. in downtown New Port Richey, next to the Richey Suncoast Theater.
