Sims Park Renovations in the Works

Sims Park Renovations in the Works

JAH Architects unveiled their latest plans for Sims Park this week. According to the presentation, Phase I of the project is expected to cost a little more than $2.5 million. City council members voiced support for most of the elements of Phase I and directed staff to start the preliminary work necessary before a formal plan is brought back for a vote. Specific items at the top of the priority list include:

  • A new playground
  • New boat docks
  • New towers necessary to eventually provide shade (movable covers) for the concert seating area

NewsPortRichey.org reported previously that the funds for this project would come from Penny for Pasco dollars.
