The vacant Bank of America building on the northwest corner of Massachussetts ave and Congress St was demolished yesterday. I had contacted Jeff Starkey on the City council last Monday regarding the property being out of the County’s code (it’s located just outside city limits) and we had jointly contacted Commissioner Henry Wilson. Code enforcement was dispatched to look at the property and lo and behold a week later it was being demolished.

I’m not sure yet whether it was a happy accident or whether government really works that fast but I’ll take it either way. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.
