A precautionary boil water notice has been issued to residents in the Seven Springs Water System for former customers of Aloha Utilities. An eight-inch water main break occurred earlier today on Heritage Lake Boulevard according to FGUA (Florida Governmental Utility Authority–previously run by Aloha Utilities) and has since been repaired, but officials are urging residents to boil water for one to two minutes before use as a precaution.
Around 750 customers have been affected by the outage and may have experienced loss of water pressure. These customers are not serviced by New Port Richey’s Public Works water service.
