We have passed the coldest period of the year, and average temperatures are now increasing.  Historically, the average high temperature is now 72 degrees, two degrees higher than our lowest average high of the year [70]), and eighteen degrees lower than our highest average [90]). Our average low is now 54 degrees, twenty-two degrees lower than our highest average low of the year (76), and three degrees higher than our lowest average low [51].

Here is NOAA on the human causes of climate change and global warming.

Last Week (2/19-2/25): As forecast, last week saw above normal temperatures until Thursday, when a cool front came through, bringing below normal temperatures.

This Week (2/26-3/3): After a cool start, the coming week will see temperatures above normal until Thursday, when cooler weather will return.

We are nearing the end of the coldest period of winter.  There may yet be some cold days and nights, but the period of coldest weather has passed.  Expect more rain due to El Nino.
