Reports came in to NewsPortRichey of construction occurring on Main Street just East of Congress Avenue on Monday evening.

Crews removed a section of the asphalt just in front of the New Port Richey Post Office, near a utility access manhole in the road. The City of New Port Richey has not released a statement on the repairs. Drivers should be cautious of the removed section of asphalt, on the eastbound side of Main Street, which remains uncovered this morning.
