Create Wearable Art – Jewelry Making Workshop

The Downtown New Port Richey Art Gallery will be hosting a jewelry making workshop on called “Create Wearable Art” on Thursday, October 9th from 6-8:30 PM.

Lapidary art is very popular. Transforming a rough stone to a desired shape with a brilliant polish for use in rings, pendants and other wearable art is a great accomplishment. Jewelry artisan Debra Joy Peisner, a local Tampa favorite, will teach you the techniques of lapidary in this class. Location: 6231 Grand Blvd., in downtown New Port Richey, next to the Richey Suncoast Theater.

What to bring:

A gemstone or mineral stone to be shaped, if you have one. Or, choose one from our selection.

A smile and the need for a fun, social evening.

No experience is necessary. All tools and equipment are provided. If you already work in lapidary, Debra is ready to help you with an existing project.

$35.00 per person. RSVP by October 6 to reserve a seat. Call 727-848-6500 or email us at: nprgallery1@gmail.com. Contact the instructor directly at 813-727-1848 with any questions you may have.

Your finished cabochon stone can be set in a wire-wrapped ring during our November class.
