paschase062814b_13415756_8colpaschase062814c_13415758_8col A New Port Richey officer suffered minor injuries Thursday night in a wild chase with three suspects. The suspected driver was eventually apprehended and arrested.

Deputies say 19 year old Eric Jefferson Stanley of New Port Richey was arrested on charges of attempted murder of a law enforcement officer. Two suspects still remain at large.

The incident began on Arroyo Drive according to a Facebook post by the Pasco Sheriff’s office. The vehicle was pulled over for having run a red light. When the officer exited his vehicle tje suspects attempted to pin him between his car door and his vehicle. He received seven stitches and was released from the hospital.

The chase then continued to Green Key road where two more batteries of New Port Richey officers occurred. Neither of those officers were seriously injured. However, their two patrols cars were reportedly damaged. The suspects then fled the scene and abandoned their blue vehicle on Sun High Drive off Overview in the Oak Ridge subdivision.
