WJQB-FM will not be known as Hits 106. A local FM station playing oldies hits out of Spring Hill, FL has changed its branding and call letters for the station starting today. The station will still be available at the 106.3 frequency and the new call letters will be WGHR-FL and a new name of Hits 106. The station serves the “Nature Coast” of Florida north of the St. Petersburg and Tampa market.

The name change is intended to better suit the station’s morning and afternoon programming. The new website for the station is http://www.greatesthits106.com.

True Oldies, or “Hits 106”, sponsors many local events in New Port Richey.
