NewsPortRichey is a website aimed at replacing the functionality of the community spirit that was originally encouraged on Patch.com. With the subsequent layoff of all local Patch employees, that website lost its momentum for providing a forum for our community.

This is my attempt at answering that lack of service. My name is Jon Tietz, and I ran for City Council in 2013. I lost, but I hope that I can provide you a service here that will bring you closer to your community. By registering you’ll be able to post your own stories and content and users will be able to upvote they like and downvote content that they don’t. Hopefully this will allow us to spread important information and keep in touch in New Port Richey.
