$3,000 REWARD: NPR Police Seek Winn Dixie Purse-Snatcher

New Port Richey police are seeking information on a male suspect, pictured below, who police say forcibly snatched a purse from an elderly woman shopping in the store before fleeing. The robbery occurred Wednesday just after 6:30 PM at the Winn Dixie located on the Southwest corner of Massachusetts Street and Congress Ave. A $3,000 award is now being offered for information leading to arrest in this case. The suspect is described as a white male, between 30-40 years of age with black hair, wearing thick glasses and a black jacket and black jeans.

On January 24, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. a white male entered the Winn Dixie located at 6400 Massachusettes Avenue in New Port Richey and approached an elderly female victim who was shopping. The suspect forcefully took the victim’s purse which she was holding at the time. The suspect fled the store in an unknown direction with the victim’s purse. The suspect is described as a white male, between 30-40 yoa, black hair, wearing thick glasses and a black jacket and black jeans.

Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the unknown suspect involved in this case. Crime Stoppers must be contacted first in order to be eligible for a cash reward.
