According to NASA and NOAA, 2015 was the hottest year in recorded history – replacing 2014 as the hottest year on record (since records have been kept, 1880). Read more:

Average temperatures are increasing and will continue to until early June, when they reach 90, and stay there until early September.  Historically, the average high temperature is now 83 degrees, thirteen degrees higher than our lowest average high of the year [70]), and seven degrees lower than our highest average [90]). Our average low is now 65 degrees, eleven degrees lower than our highest average low of the year (76), and fourteen degrees higher than our lowest average low [51].

Last Week (4/15 – 4/21):  Last week was close to normal, but above historic norms everyday except one. Highest high was 86 (four degrees above normal), Lowest high was 80 (one degree below normal).  

This Week (4/22 – 4/28):  Temperatures will be well above normal every day this week, and heat will increase every day, with the possibility that we will reach 90 for the first time this year, on Friday (4/29).  Historically, we reach an average high of 90 on June 4.  Look for mid- to upper-80s every day this week. Rain is not likely.
