Residents and representatives from local farm to table food groups, including Friendship Farms & Fare, Nature Coast Real Food Project, and the East Madison Growers showed up at the Grand Gardens located on Grand Boulevard in New Port Richey on Sunday, Sept. 20 to celebrate the opening of this new community garden.

Interested participants and budding gardeners were provided with information about how they can rent a 10′ x 10′ garden plot to plant their own vegetables.  The Friendship Farms & Fare is an affiliate of Ecology Florida, Inc. and is encouraged by the City of New Port Richey’s Environmental committee.  For information about the Grand Gardens in New Port Richey contact Travis Morehead at (727) 271-2333.
