New Port Richey, FL – The Richey Community Orchestra will host a St. Patrick’s Day concert on March 15, 2015 featuring Irish tenor John Wilson.
Wilson will sing “A Little Bit of Heaven,” “My Wild Irish Rose,” “I’ll Take You Home Again Kathleen,” the “Kerry Dance” and sentimental favorite, “Danny Boy.” Another selection, “You Raise Me Up” features lyrics penned by Irish songwriter and novelist Brendan Graham.
Wilson is currently a featured performer at Busch Gardens. He toured with the group Re-Creation, America’s Ambassadors to Hospitalized Veterans. John is also a circus ringmaster, working with many of the biggest names in American circus.
You’ll hear beautiful music filled with the lovely lilt of the Emerald Isle including songs from Finian’s Rainbow, the exciting Lord of the Dance, and everyone’s sentimental favorite, Danny Boy.
Tickets cost $40 to the show at Spartan Manor, 6121 Massachusetts Ave. Cocktails will be served starting at 1 p.m. at a cash bar, followed by a full-course dinner at 1:30 p.m. featuring your choice of Irish corned beef and cabbage or traditional roast chicken, salad, vegetables, and dessert. Tea and coffee are included. The show starts at 3 p.m.
