Pasco voters went to the polls again yesterday, and the outcomes were very clear. Mike Moore was elected to the Pasco County Commission with a comfortable margin of 59 percent over Democrat Erika Remsberg. The seat was previously held by retiring commissioner Pat Mulieri, and continues the tradition of the commission being staffed with Republicans.
Democrat Amanda Murphy handily defeated Republican Chris Gregg for the State Representative District 36 seat. Murphy won with 64 percent of the vote.
Matthew “Skeeter” Abbott was re-elected to the Mosquito Control board with 62 percent of the vote.
Adam Putnam was re-elected as Florida’s Agriculture Commissioner and Jeff Atwater was retained as Florida’s Chief Financial Officer.
Amendment 1 on Environmental Land funding passed with 75 percent of the vote.
Amendment 2 failed with 58 percent of the vote.
Amendment 3 failed with 52 percent voting against.
