According to an article published on Broadwayworld.com, husband and wife team Jimmy Ferraro and Dee Etta Rowe will open Jimmy Ferraro’s Studio Theater in downtown New Port Richey. The Theater will contain a small black box theater with limited seating. The theater will occupy the space previously used by a nightclub in downtown New Port Richey.
Mr. Ferraro was the previous owner of Angel Cabaret, which was located in the Southgate plaza on Mariner Blvd and US 19, that closed in December 2004 because of financial troubles.
The new theater will open this summer’s season with Church Basement Ladies( June 6-29), Coupled (July 18-Aug 10), The Singing Divas of Broadway and Hollywood (Sept 6-28th).
They will also be offering instruction in Voice, Acting, and Musical Theater.
According to their website, an open casting call is scheduled for April 28th at 7:00 PM.
